    Sodium percarbonate is known as an oxygen bleach. Sodium percarbonate is formed when sodium carbonate has been treated with hydrogen peroxide and when dissolved in water, releases a powerful combination of oxygenated hydrogen peroxide and sodium carbonate.

    Sodium percarbonate is non-toxic, environmentally safe, biodegradable, and leaves no harmful by-products or residues which can harm the environment, is non-flammable, non-explosive and soluble in water.

    Sodium Percarbonate is not a chlorine bleach, instead, it is an environmentally friendly version, known as an oxygen bleach, that is safe on colours, whiten whites, and as an added bonus, does not weaken fabrics like traditional bleach. Chlorine bleach uses an oxidizer to break chemical bonds and release the stain-causing substance. In traditional chlorine bleach, a highly toxic substance called sodium hypochlorite is used as the oxidizer. Chlorine bleach is very poisonous (dioxin and chloroform are by-products) and it can create highly toxic chlorine gas if mixed with ammonia.
